Both EFTA01204065.pdf and EFTA01071548.pdf from Data Set 9 are the same email chain highlighting this 2013 Salon article. Somebody named Greg Brown looks like one of those kings-of-forwards.

BJU is also in a court case documented in 181.pdf, Government of the United States Virgin Islands v. JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A., No. 122-cv-10904 (S.D.N.Y. 2022). On page 39, Leonard A. Gail, attorney for the defense states:

Another wow from me. Bruce McAllister makes the square peg of Scripture fit into his round hole of branding.

My greatest desire for every member of the University family is that we would have, each of us personally, a dynamic relationship with the Living God, that we would pursue this higher calling, that we would pursue Christ likeness. We should have an honest appraisal of ourselves that we have not yet apprehended. We have not yet arrived. There's a lot of work to be done in each of our lives. We should appropriately have a deliberate dismissal of forgetting, particularly forgetting the things of the past that are wrong and sinful or self righteous.

This is odd. What is "transformational" about phrases?

We believe in the inspiration of the Bible (both the Old and the New Testaments)

the creation of man by the direct act of God; the incarnation and virgin birth of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ

His identification as the Son of God

His vicarious atonement for the sins of mankind by the shedding of His blood on the cross

the resurrection of His body from the tomb

His power to save men from sin

the new birth through the regeneration by the Holy Spirit

and the gift of eternal life by the grace of God.

This is a weird deterioration of bibliolatry. At its most simplistic level, bibliolatry mistakes the the physical Bible for the Word of God when the Word is actually Jesus. As it persists, bibliolatry assumes that the material Bible has miraculous power -- like a magic charm or something.

But here McAllister is presuming that the *creed* has that kind of power.

That's odd.
