Andrew Applepie- "Waltz of Despair" ft. Bjurman
.@AndrewApplepie's electro-pop collabo is bright and self-assured and impossible to contain.
Appellations such as “home made pop” or “bedroom pop” are so often incredibly useless terms. They never tell us much about the artist’s work but instead tend to function as a way for the writer to show off how knowledgeable they are about obtuse sub-genre descriptors. There can be a honest utility to such descriptors though. They do, in their own way, speak to a certain degree of intimacy and…

Andrew Applepie & Bjurman - Drowning World
German based producer Andrew Applepie and Swedish singer Bjurman come together divinely on Drowning World. The electro-pop meets future beats aria is gorgeously operatic, yet glitchy haunting and dusky stirring at the same time. If CocoRosie took their freak folk sound deeper into electronic waters, they might come up sounding gossamer stirring and anodic rustling like Andrew Applepie and Bjurman do on this beautiful song. Of his collaboration with Bjurman, Applepie says: “Before we even ever talked or met up I got to hear her song "Drowning World" and I immediately felt drawn to it. I loved the melody and the song was great. I felt I could really contribute something to it. So we met up, and then I took our material with me to Maui where I made it into a new song with a new chorus and some spicy ukulele licks with my new uke I got in Kahului. Surprisingly enough everybody loved the tune!” Drowning World is out now via Seeking Blue Records.

Book adventures....
I never thought I would hate another book character as much as I do Paul Krendler....and then I was introduced to Bjurman and just.....part of me wished....no, ALL of me wished Lisbeth had put him through a much longer torture that ended in death.
Bjurman: is your anus strong enough?
"You disgust me," I sneered. "Never contact me again, or I will fucking kill you."
