Summary:

And then something is wrapping around his wrist. Properly startled, Katsuki fires a decently-sized explosion that briefly illuminates his room, and he’s able to make out a long, dark entity stretching from underneath his door, across his floor, and up his bed. Panic begins to rouse in his gut as the thing tightens its hold. He fires off another explosion with a little more firepower, but it doesn’t even flinch. In fact, it begins to pulse. Staccato and green.

Oh, he realizes. It’s just Blackwhip.

Months after the War, Blackwhip starts seeking out Katsuki in the middle of the night. Izuku has no idea. Katsuki has no plans to tell him.

It started as a joke. A drunk night, a signed paper, and Todoroki encouraging it for science. One blurry contract later, Midoriya had laminated their “platonic marriage pact” and Bakugou, tipsy, tired, and aggressively not smiling, signed it with a glitter pen and a scowl.

No one was supposed to take it seriously.

Then came the trending hashtags. The fan-edits. The plushie line. The interview that launched a thousand memes. And in the middle of the chaos, between coffee-stealing and couch-napping, between ramen dates and umbrella sharing, something shifted.

They called it platonic.

They believed it.

Until they didn’t.

Now, stuck between public perception and their own unraveling hearts, Midoriya and Bakugou have to face the truth: they might’ve started as a joke, but their feelings are anything but.

Izuku blinked, gaze following Bakugou as he left. After a deep breath, he slumped over, head pillowed in his arms.
