I love how other kpop fandom's are STILL shitting on Bts and their success "the grammys don't matter!!" Lol it's hilarious. They can't even for once give a congrats to them and continue being salty about it. And they wonder why Army's are the way we are
You see…these are the anonymous messages that I don’t really care for. I don’t know if you’re being facetious or not. BKF is multi-fandom and that means us admins and the rest of the community are into different artists, and we try to give representation to both super popular groups and more obscure ones.
I don’t like it when there are messages that are meant to cause discord without the want of a genuine conversation. I think that when messages are sent in the heat of the moment it can seem like the effect of the message is marginal, but when this message is posted and sits on the blog for everyone to see it can cause a whole discussion that can be derisive.
I love to hear opinions, but when I see messages like this that are meant to cause a reaction I kinda get sad. Because we had this conversation last year numerous times, and was difficult to mitigate each and every time. We aren’t fandom elitist here. We are here to have fun, first and foremost.
Fandom for many of us is an escape from all the stress of everyday life. So to bring the discord into a place where many of us just want to have a good time can be a bit much.
Also, to answer this question because we get it so much. BTS, despite all of their problematic issues, are doing an amazing thing right now. America is hard to break into as a foreign band that is not of European descent. I am never ever going to hate on that. Ever. Success is success and they have worked hard for it. Having said that, other groups are working super hard as well, and are dealing with not having as much spotlight.
So yes, I can understand other fandoms being really upset at times. Let them have that anger and move on. Rise above that type of discord. BTS can handle themselves and in order to show that BTS truly have the fans they constantly brag about to press, it’s time for the subset of ARMY who start fandom wars to really try to walk in line with the amazing message that these young men are trying to spread.

Y’all seen the CLC/Azealia Banks mess on Twitter? 👀 AB retweeted a video of Seungyeon dancing to a Rupal track, that’s actually a rip-off of one of her songs, saying “this is so stupid” which triggered clc fans now they tryna come for her and are flooding her page with fancams of clc’s mediocre dancing 😭

To be honest, it wouldn’t surprise me. Directioners and ExoLs are super passionate. I think that what fans don’t take into account is that no idea is truly original. No beat in production is 100% original. I think that it’s sad because it makes fandom less fun and it causes a stressful atmosphere for everyone involved. After Zayn left…it was a mad house of negativity because he was the first to leave, but on the same hand when many Exo members left it was the same for ExoLs so there are heavy parallels between each fandom. Both are super passionate and are super protective of their respective groups. I just hate when fan wars.

For a fellow black Kpop fan to say “your faves think you’re a nigger” to me because I like BTS and they don’t is gross and completely out of line. At least to me. Or am i just overreacting here? Idc if you don’t like BTS or not, and there’s ways to address the anti blackness and racism in the fandom without resorting to that. That was just so out of pocket
I follow a Beyonce fan thats well known on twitter. Army got her into the group by spamming bts and @ her in fights about how one BG is too toxic and problematic compared to bts (hell some @ her more when she wanted to check out Loona). Recently they kept putting up this "no one in kpop loves us we dk why :(" towards her and the Beyhive so they can stream bts n Beyonce together, which the Beyhive believed 1/2
I’d understand armies who genuinely want Beyhive to see bts and also like Beyonce but i’m focused on the that fans lied to made it out like they only get hate 24/7 for liking bts instead of being up and front w/ some of the nasty things fans have done to mainly black female celebs. At this point, i wouldn’t be surprised if some decided to dip out of the streaming party once they get the views for bts and this is coming from an army whos seen the sneaky shit people would do for the boys 2/2
yeah bts censored the word but a lot of black fans were telling them to call out the racism like they did w/ bullying esp when fans were extremely nasty to black rappers DURING that anti-bullying campaign. We have racist fans running around blaming black people for this which makes the situation even worse. honestly, to me, if they learned their past, they would have start listening to us and bring up the general racism instead of censoring something that wasn't even a problem to begin with 1/2
and before someone says "they're not fans". yes they are. I like bts too and dont want people to think we're all bad therefore the boys are bad but im sick of people trying to deflect the issue. BTS, like every other group, has anti-black fans and it needs to be addressed. if they can address the issue w/ a song lyric and the general bullying, they can address the anti-blackness that has been going on in the fandom 2/2
