just wanted to remind everybody that giving feedback to writers is one of the best things you can do to boost their self esteem and their motivation to keep writing!

I just checked my old bts blog for the first time in ages (@ayyosuga in case anyone is interested), and i saw that my jungkook smut has over 800 notes. OVER 800 NOTES. that always seemed impossible to me and it's an accomplishment that I should be thrilled about but... that doesn't motivate me to start writing jungkook smut again.

HFT gets less than 100 notes every time I post, but you know what? with each update, I get reblogs with detailed feedback. I get asks from readers gushing about how much they enjoyed the update. I get messages from brand new readers saying that they love the series and they binged the whole thing in a day. THAT is what motivates me to write. Likes & empty reblogs are still nice and appreciated, but I would absolutely accept fewer likes & reblogs if it meant I could be part of a fandom that actively gives feedback & appreciates content creators.

That's just one of the many things I love about being a universe. Y'all are amazing and I love that I get to be part of this online family. 💕 thank you for loving me and outwardly appreciating my work

it's not even a (g)i-dle song? like yeah it's got soyeon in it but like, it's just weird to see it at the top of (g)i-dle's page when it's not their song

that being said, pop/stars HAS been my ringtone for like a year and a half and K/DA Akali (voiced by Soyeon) has been my wallpaper for just as long... and that all happened before i got into (g)i-dle lmao so I'm not denying that it's a good song

Hot for Teacher turns 2 today 😭😭

Thank you all for the love and support towards my first significant piece of writing. I know it has been a long time coming and I'd like to think that some of you have stuck around since the beginning. But no matter when you joined the family, you are all very special to me and you've made such a positive impact on my life. I know it's "just fanfiction" and it's just "fun tumblr writing", but I never imagined that I could write a story like this. I still have so much room to grow as a writer, but I've come so far from where I started and I seriously owe it all to you lovely, wonderful peaches.

Thank you for reading my fic. Thank you for interacting with me. Thank you for supporting me and encouraging me to believe that I have value as a writer. It has truly changed my life and I will never be able to repay you all for the love you've shown me.

I think a lot of my followers might be college-aged so this might not help anyone but please

If you are in high school and thinking about going to college

If you feel like your only choice is to go to college

If you can't imagine NOT going to college

PLEASE think really hard about it. Consider other options. You can still have a fulfilling life without going to a big university. If you really want additional schooling, consider community college.

(Obviously college is necessary for certain careers but if you're as clueless as I was about what you want to do with your life, DO NOT commit yourself to a four year degree at some fancy school just because you think that's what you're supposed to do)

College is not necessary for a good life, and it's stupid expensive. And if you have to take out any student loans, you're absolutely fucked.

I was pressured by my parents to go to a four-year college even though I didn't really want to. It seemed like there were no other options, and I started hunting for schools right around the time that people started talking about how student loans are fucking millennials over. I had no idea what kind of impact it would have on me.

I graduated in 2016. I've been paying my loans for around 2 years. Let's do some simple math:

I originally borrowed $32,320.

I've paid back $11,547.97.

Of that amount, $4,549.98 was applied to the principal balance.

With interest included, I still owe $32,310.08.

That's only $9.92 less than what I originally borrowed.

I didn't know what I signed up for when I took out these loans because my mom handled all of it. And honestly, even if I had been fully aware, I probably would have shrugged it off and said 'I'll deal with it after I graduate.'

This is why I'm begging you, please do not take the decision to go to college lightly. Do not take the decision to take out personal loans lightly. I'm going to be paying back these loans for forever, and that doesn't even account for the $30k I have in federal loans, too. My younger sister took out twice as much as I did and I have no clue how she'll manage payments once they start coming in.

Just think about it. Please.

I had a dream that I went to this restaurant in Koreatown, and one of the guys working there dropped a big bucket of kimchi on the floor. He cleaned it up, but no matter how hard he scrubbed he couldn't get the red stain to come off of the floor.

"Here, let me try," I said confidently as I motioned for him to give me the mop. As if I could somehow do better.

Grumpy, he handed it over and waited for me to fail.

I scrubbed once, twice. And like marker being wiped from a white board, the stain quite quickly disappeared.

The restaurant-goers watched in awe as I completely eradicated the stain, and the man who gave me the mop applauded my efforts.

But it didn't stop there.

They cheered. They shook my hand. They followed me with their cameras, celebrating my victory and naming me their Kimchi Queen.

ALL HAIL THE KIMCHI QUEEN.

also literally can’t stop feeling emotional about how last night, Hongseok was so excited that he was finally able to return to Chicago (apparently he lived in Madison? wtf that’s where I live now?). he’s been dreaming about returning to the states as a singer, and now he’s finally doing it. he said, “There’s that saying that when you want something badly enough, the universe will make it happen. Now here I am, back in Chicago, as a singer. Thank you, Universe, for making it happen.”
