A politician unironically using "Woke 1" as a term in a serious conversation?
AOC can fuck off, that is nobody's fucking word but OURS-BLACK PEOPLE'S-to use, and using it the way rightwingers use it means you're validating the modern day nazis
I hope any attempt she makes at a 2028 run crashes and burns
i don’t view gender as a spectrum nor a binary. it’s all a bunch of categories filled with subgroups upon subgroups with differin’ qualities and modes. specifically like a gradient color palette, where all the genders (colors) sit next to each other in proximity.
gender is an internal experience located, to me at least, in the soul; and it has a color(s) certain hue, tone, and shade that tint the rest of your identity. two colors rarely ever be alike. like, we have the basic colors of the rainbow: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple. is you gon’ look in my face and say that a red that’s darker than the usual bright ass, ultra vibrant red ain’t red cause it ain’t exactly that red? or tell me that a purple that was the result of mixin’ to get its color ain’t real purple cause it ain’t look that way from the beginnin’? of course not. they still they colors, and should be treated as such.
non-binary is both a gender and a category. and in that respect, so is woman and man. and in that respect as well, so is hetero, lesbian, gay, bi, etc. this don’t mean just anything goes, purple is not red, but a purplish red can definitely be still red. even reds that act as a purple in conjuction with other colors on an art piece cause Color Theory are still reds.
i think with such an analogy, we can balance the need for differentiation and the need for diversity at the same time instead of conjoinin’ the gender binary together and relegatin’ anything abinary out the window from the conversation entirely. because at the end of the day, we don’t need to be the exact same hue, tone. dark red, light red, dull red and bright red all still red, anyway. this is an imperfect theory, so feel free to challenge or add to it.
Black intersex nonbinary culture is getting pissed at the fact white ppl cant simply comprehend why you call yourself a man, even though it makes you extremely dysphoric like so tempted to post this as my story
“If yall hate Black ppl reclaiming their manhood, ure racist”
i never base my gender off whiteness, yet white people think they the arbiters of gender; as well as everything else…
Your hatred towards black people is humorous and idiotic, because you wear our clothing, say the n word, tan your skin extremely dark, get lip fillers, get perms, copy our music, and mimic our speech.
Doing black things doesn’t make you black, it makes you look stupid.
You’re the ghetto one in the equation.
Is it racist if I identify w/ white femininity and black masculinity but not black femininity? While I'm mixed, I feel kind of guilty for it. I have nothing against black woman/femininity, I think it's beautiful, I just don't connect with it.
i don’t think so! it’s your gender after all. you can always appreciate something without needin’ to align yourself with it. sometimes, people tend to use this to subtly push white supremacy by doublin’ down on how things from any white/european culture just be more “familiar” to them, as in “more normal” or “more default”. that’s all i’d say though to keep in mind in not just yourself, but other people!
please stop listenin’ to cis people speak about non-binary and why they think it’s fake or reinforcin’ binaries because they think gender is just social roles and expectations; you talkin’ to people who overwhelmin’ly never had a moment where they had to sit down and do any sort of internal introspection on gender based off pure feelin’. gender to them is entirely mental, never internal or spiritual. these people get handed gender to them to debate about, we have to find it ourselves to even name it. remember this.
