Black Deck, Gold Stake
What a motley crew this run!
At one point, when my blue seals had yet to get me any scaling for my 2 Pair or Full House, I said "Man, I need some chips or I'm toast!" And then I pulled a Blue Joker, and a lucky Wheel solved my problems! Subsequent wheels generated more chips and even more chips, so I think we ended up in a really good place!
Fortune Teller is at +30, so that's a nice boost for doing something I needed to do anyway. Hologram is only at 2.25x. I just didn't see many card packs, and I never got any Cryptids. Still, as my only mult-mult it's an invaluable part of the win. Burglar was my first joker (non-Foil, to start). I 100% took it because "This will probably be fun, even if it's not good." Spare Trousers were right after. There was a temporary Mad Joker that helped me handle the early antes until I got the rest of the scoring going.
With this, we leave Black Deck behind and move up to Magic Deck. Another particularly fun deck, in my mind. We'll see how it treats me.
Black Deck, Orange Stake
This was a fun run! Burglar super early. Green Joker basically right after. Spare Trousers came after Hologram. I wasn't sure I wanted it, but I just needed ANY mult that scaled faster than Green.
Hologram is up to 4.25. Ramen only took a hit when a boss forced me to discard, so it's at 1.94. Business card was basically the only econ I managed to pick up at all. Not great, but it obviously did the job. I'm at $5 in the screenshot, but that's because I rolled down in Ante 8. I didn't have too much trouble staying over $20 during the run.
Black Deck, Purple Stake
Knocked one out while the kiddo is having a nap.
Black Deck is more fun than Green Deck, for sure!
Gros Michel expired after literally one round, hahaha. Cavendish and Bloodstone happened super quick, and then like... Ante 4 or 5 Cat came up. I had the opportunity to replace the Oops! All 6s! with a Constellation. I would have had time to scale it, but honestly... I had so much Mult already. And I like the dice for getting more hits on my Lucy Cards to feed the cat. I was flush with cash the whole play, even though I was only playing pairs, thanks to frequent $20 hits.
I didn't take a screenshot, but the deck is like... 30 hearts, nearly nothing else, and there's like 10 Red Seal Lucky Queens. One of the quickest and easiest wins I've had.
