Let’s Talk About Chicken Feet!
One of the main things I suggest baby witches when first starting out is the importance of protection! Protecting yourself spiritually (and physically but that’s a different topic and can be conjure related) is VITAL in these works. You cannot be out here assed out and doing spells, messing with spirits, or trying to hex somebody without putting in that protection work! One of the easiest ways you can protect yourself is by carrying charms, gris gris bags, crystals, stones, ancestral belongings, bones, and animals parts! A common one used are chicken feet! You might see chicken feet used a lot in hoodoo and voodoo, and more! Chicken feet is sacred to our traditions because of the protective nature of chickens. I dare you to try and take a chick away from a mama! You’ll probably lose that fight lol.
My ancestors been nudging me a wholllleeee lot lately about preparing some, so I shall 👌🏾 hit me up for more information how to prepare them.

So I’m starting to question my practice...
Is it still Hoodoo if I have no connection to the Bible? Like at all, I can’t tell you not one story out the Bible ..... my practice is strictly ancestral and nature based.. would that just be considered folk magic? Do Hoodoo practitioners HAVE TO involve the Bible? I’ve always wondered that. Maybe I shouldn’t label and just let my magic be my magic. Idk
