Holy shit 5 minutes from blacking out.

The Blackout.
I don't know how anybody else saw it but I saw it as a good thing. Instead of loathing in my house, I decided to go for a bike ride while the sun was still up. I rode past the park and to my surprise, it was completely packed. It was the first time I had seen it packed like this in years. On my bike ride home, I saw about 9 joggers, which is random because I had never seen someone jog at 7 p.m., let alone so many. People were going on walks. They completely didn't see use in staying inside. That made me realize that we need to have blackouts like that more often. People weren't stuck in their house glued to an electronic that they couldn't get enough of. They weren't on Facebook, Twitter, or Tumblr. Most didn't even have their phones because it couldn't be charged. They actually were out doing productive shit because they had no other choice. Later, when it got dark, I realized that we bought candles for nothing. The moon and stars were so bright, I could see my shadow. We never get to see that anymore. It was all this simplistic beauty that we were in need of. We needed this reality check....or at least, I did.
