They stared at each other, for what was probably much longer than was comfortable but ended up being much shorter than the situation called for. It wasn't every day that someone gets to meet a mermaid, or man, it was hard to tell. Then again seeing a fish person covered in blood standing, or swimming, over a dead body probably wasn't the best day to meet one anyways.
