Speaking of #KerryJamesMarshall, you may have seen the headlines that Diddy recently purchased Marshall’s “Past Times” at auction for $21 mill, making it the single highest selling piece of art made by a living artist. As baby girl @samrizzel so brilliantly reminded me though, Marshall himself did not put the piece up for bid at #Sotheby’s and therefore was not the recipient of said $21Ms. Marshall had sold the painting years before for $25,000. Thankfully Marshall is still alive and kicking.
