Is it your cat on your profile cover photo?
Oh, no! It's just a meme cat ◡̈
And thanks for the question ☕🌟
Okay, the first scammer in my life
On Sunday evening (April 12) (but I only saw it yesterday afternoon, April 13), a blog I subscribed to about two years ago and forgot about that wrote a private message
At first I thought they were writing to me about my age (minors DNI, you know), but a few hours later they answered me and the answer was very alarming – they wrote that they'd recently been scammed by an account similar to mine, and thinking it was me, they filed a report and even asked several of their friends to do the same
Then they started writing about Discord
I'd seen a post about this type of scam before and even reposted it, so I knew about the danger and didn't go to Discord. However, I was very concerned that the beginning of the correspondence is different from the usual "fake report" scheme. Message stated a deadline of 12 hours (yes, logically, I knew it hadn't just been 12 hours, but more than a day; I couldn't stop my panicking brain) and the reason was "for Fraudulent activity and Unauthorized transactions," not "for Pishing and Financial scam," like many others I've seen before in screenshots from other people
However, thanks to the people who post screenshots and report scam attempts – thanks to you, I've gradually calmed down a bit, realizing that others are receiving identical messages
I've already changed my password, logged back into my account (in the web version, after changing your password, Tumblr logs you out of your account and you have to log back in, but with a new password) and haven't had any problems
There have been no strange posts from my account and no activity from not me.
But I'm very worried. I hope everything will be fine with my account.
And can you tell me which category to use to contact support? Or should I just report them? Or just mark them as spam and block them?
(And I really hope that I conveyed my thoughts clearly)
:D
