Black Cat, White Cat in a shared cinema space is exactly the kind of beautiful chaos we love hosting.

Last night’s Camden screening may have been intimate, but the audience energy filled the room from beginning to end. There was laughter, gasping, collective disbelief and moments where everyone just looked around at each other wondering what on earth they were watching. The film doesn’t really move in a straightforward way, it spirals and descends to chaoas in a good way. Somehow this film makes you even more invested in the characters and their ridiculous decisions.

There were moments that genuinely felt spiritually connected to the old 70s Carry On films too: slapstick humour, exaggerated personalities, pure absurdity and communal laughter.

Our FilmTalk afterwards carried that same energy. Everyone contributed something different and the conversation naturally built on itself in the best possible way.
