The Finding of the Princess

At last Sir Nearsight spied a shape,

A silken gown, a flowing cape.

He leapt from steed with clanging cheer:

"At last, sweet maid, I've found you here!"

He knelt and took her dainty hand,

Proclaimed himself at her command.

But when he squinted, leaning near,

He found a scarecrow, ragged, dear.

Yet still he swore upon this quest,

That someday he would find the rest -

A princess real, not straw and seam,

And wake at last from this half-dream.

I love the facial expression of the Carrot costume guy from Lego Collectible minifigures series 24. That's the guy with orange hair here.

Since today is Black Falcons Friday I got the idea that I wanted to do a picture with him as a Black Falcons guard and this is the result.

The story here is that during the night someone has stolen nearly all carrots from the food storage and the captain is trying to figure out which one of these four is the thief. Who do you think it is?

Pulling the Eggscalibur from the giant egg was merely the beginning of Arthur Hendragons adventures. Recently a monstrous chick has been terrorizing the countryside. Arthur have employed two veteran Black Falcon guards to aid him in chasing away the giant cockerel. However as the group stands face to beak with the beast their courage falter. It looks like the peasants living under Arthur's protection will have to keep supplying the chick with tons of grain each day to keep it satisfied.. But what happens when it grows up?

Today is Blackfalconsfriday. These pictures might be more about the Forestmen, however the Black Falcon guard plays an important part here aswell, in her own way.

It's Black Falcons Friday, and as so often before, the Black Falcons gets robbed of their riches by the Forestmen.
