Casting for Recovery . I have complex feelings about shooting pro bono work and probably will continue to. I’d like to have better criteria for the organizations I work with, but those “doing the most good with the resources available” is as sophisticated as I get at this point. I like groups that do something tangible rather than just raise funds for a cause. I value working in my community in the small geographical sense, and in a broader ideological one - kindness, justice, healing, conservation, stewardship- If it doesn’t hit one of these I’m not interested . I shot the western Montana @castingforrecovery retreat on the Blackfoot River in September and was too busy shooting at the time to really consider what was going on, but in hindsight the whole event was so tender hearted.
