International Horror & Gothic Writers This organization will feature and market all published books by the members, as well as, have an author of the month spotlight decided by the majority of the members. The author of the month spotlight will include a podcast interview with the writer and the writer will be featured on this organization website the entire month to market their writings, website, blogs, etc. In October, this organization will sponsor, the annual Edgar Allan Poe Horror/Gothic Fiction Writing Award, in March this organization will sponsor the Mary Shelly Horror/Gothic Poetry Award and in June this or will sponsor the Internation Horror & Gothic Writing Award. To help the members stay motivated and encouraged to finish their WIPs, this organization will set up monthly interviews with accomplished horror/Gothics authors so that the members can hear first-hand tips and advice from someone who has made it in our genre. The members will also have a chance to submit a question to the author. Another perk for being a member is the IHGW Monthly Newsletter. This newsletter will feature writings from the members of this organization and will be submitted to publications that accept Horror & Gothic submissions at no additional cost to the members, any cost for submitting writings to this publication will be absorbed by IHGW. This organization is dedicated to getting each member published. This organization also offers webinars/Skype on things from traditional and self-publishing, to marketing. IHGW will work to get individuals who know these topics to come and speak via webinars/Skype. Lastly, there will be an annual conference that will be held from October 28 to October 31, location TBA.
