I feel like I missed something here.  Waterloo is the sixth largest city in Iowa and home to one of Iowa’s most famous residents, legendary wrestling coach Dan Gable.  

Cedar Falls has produced a Super Bowl MVP, a long serving senator and a Congressional Medal of Honor recipient.  

And with all of this I visited a nearly deserted nightclub that happens to brew its own beer.  I hesitate to call it a brewery because the beers were so mediocre and they felt like an afterthought, less important than the strobe lights or pool tables.  

I sampled a Panther Pale Ale and Blackhawk Braxator .  Neither was impressive and the Braxator was nearly undrinkable*.  

Maybe I ordered the wrong ones or maybe the beers were just a bad batch.  Maybe it was just a slow night.  But that’s a few too many maybes and I can’t help but think that Blackhawk County has some attractions that don’t require so many qualifications.
