so i redesigned Blackhook-

LISTEN LISTEN- BEFORE YOU BURN ME AT THE STAKE-

This is my au where he gets infected by the beast virus, its just a simple concept for now.

Blackhook W (kraken!)

Ik some proportions are off but we ball.

Did also sketch out his new alt

the changes i made to him are below:

his shoulders are supposed to be more octopus head shaped with the little circle thing acting as the eye of it.

Its hard to see due to how small the sketch is, but his pupil(s) are more sharpened and slit shaped

Tecacles- yeah, added more kibble for him sob

Added the wave pattern to the top and bottom of his sails, along with changeing the shark on the main sail to a kraken design

Added little tentacle designs on some elements such as his skirt armors outter corners, in the middle of his torso and on his forarms.

Elongated the chip in his mask under his visible eye, and added a scar ontop of the eye, their shape are supposed to also mimic tentacles.

Added a tare to the read "coat collar" design on his chest

Gave him armor on his knuckles that mimic knucklebusters

Sketch was too small for it, but i probly wouldve added some tentacle patterning to some corners of his hat aswell. Wouldve also loved to add a bit more gold detailing to his feetsies!

(Unpictured) but the tentacles do have suctioncups and hooks on them!, (didnt draw it accurately but if i ever do id want to based them more closely on those of the robust clubhook squid, mostly due to hook being in its name lol)

Yes im mixed octopus and squid features, sue me. (Dont actually-). Hes a KRAKEN, pretty sure those have always been depicted weirdly so who cares?

To the alt:

Added a bigass kraken looking design, tentacles wrap around his outter hull as an extra layer of protection while in his alt form. (Them wrapping around the hull is in ref to- and takeing inspo from- how krakens are depicted wraping around ships to sick them)

Added a front triangular sail

Gave him a proper mast (folds down like an extendable antenna on a portable radio)

Added railings to areas his crew could be walking around (for safety!)

Added some (uncolored in this sketch sob) gold patterning to the bottom along with adding or extending the part that helps cleave trough the water
