Howdy! Blacklight au was already occupying my higher brain functions, but the new chapter has solidified a scene/vision.
It doesnt feel quite right to write fanfic-of-fanfic in the ao3 comments section, and tumblr has a character limit on comments, so i hope you dont mind me sharing this in an ask?

I kind of want the Pomnis to do a matador act (the spanish bullfighting), drawing on the established duo act of lion taming/animal handling.
Yes in part because normal Pomni would kill it in a matador costume. Think red cape, deliberately like the gas to trigger B.Pomni, as the only glowing feature on her? The aristocratic attire would contrast with her feral doppelganger, even better if Pomni can take her hat off to wear the proper headpiece, and move her bells to her shoes ala tap-heels, cowboy spurs or belled jester shoes (a mockery of how ragatha commands obedience by tapping her heel).
I think it slots in nicely with the jester's dynamics, building on their cat-and-mouse interactions. Its hard to know how OOC it is or how off base from canon without knowing how the sane blacklights would handle normal Pomnis reveal, but a flashy way for Pomni to make her debut to the stage and make a stand on separating herself from her clone.

For the setup/situation:
Show order is announced! Kinger, Jax, Gangle, Zooble, Pomni, Ragatha. Starlet is to be the grand finale. Separate.
Caine is making good on Ragatha's prior offer to perform her solo starlet act upon request, which leaves Blacklight Pomni on her own without an act. Our Pomni, witness to the trainwreck, could use this as leverage with Blacklight Ragatha, offering to perform with her feral clone in exchange for B.Ragatha's co-operation in getting her home.
B.Ragatha would probably be aware she should turn Pomni in. Having a second, freakier jester isnt helping, and in all likelyhood Caine or Bubble would expect this to be flagged. Yet, she desperately doesnt want her fragile sweetheart to be thrown into the void and abstract. They're both 'Pomni', technically, so it doesnt violate the turn order to have both Pomnis perform together.
Even so, Ragatha isnt happy about the proposed act, skeptical it would work and concerned for how her girlfriend will handle being taunted and ridiculed on stage. Especially as setting things up would require manipulating the blacklight jester into the right frame of mind, and expending resource to get the props to pull it off. Rock and a hard place- with our Pomni driving a hard bargain- the doll relents.
Day of the performance:
It goes according to plan; Start the day with four legs good, two legs bad, and in addition, Ragatha commands her pet to not speak words for the rest of the day (to not break the animal illusion to the audience once things begin). No one loops blacklight Pomni in on the situation, jester believing she is still performing with Ragatha even when the ragdoll puts her in a covered cage way before shes due on stage.
The other blacklights still dont know Pomni exists, Ragatha hiding Pomni and the crew avoiding poking the bear whos going to have to watch her darling be torn to shreds solo. Kinger probably spends the whole day predicting it (scoring his performance well retrospectively, as foreshadowing), but no ones going to cross the dolls path, neither to confront her weird preparations, or to console. If none of them were willing to thank the doctor at any point, they arent going to start when Rags is on the war path.
A depressing state of affairs that no one will offer their caretaker an ounce of time or comfort, but works wonders for sneaking Pomni into costume, and onto stage the day before to practice a rough routine. B.Pomni can still smell her counterpart through the covered bars, but is none the wiser
Showtime!
Kinger foreshadows, Jax's act builds connection between the foreshadowing and bloodsports, Gangle's inspiration for the show is the inevitable tragedy solo Pomni will cause, Zooble represents the uncaring eyes of the audience and callous disregard from caine. Then, its the jester(s).
Blacklight Pomni's cage is wheeled onto stage, cloth covering pulled to reveal the person moving her was never her mistress (who is nowhere to be found), but her dead reflection. Casting shadow in the harsh circus lighting, swathed in crimson and towering over the caged animal.
The hunt begins with the cage doors sliding open.
The show begins with a jingle of tapped jester-shoes.
B.Pomni lunges with reckless abandon, just as Ragatha had predicted. Swiping, roaring, acting every bit the maddened animal the crowd needs to believe she is. Its loud, its confusing- how DARE this freak sabotage mommy's performance?! Separate her?! Make her look STUPID and *sub-human*?! How dare it stand on stage, louder than ever before, twirling out of the way instead of fleeing- CHEATING!
The matador, for her part, is using tactics from their prior chase, with a bit of composure hastily trained into her by Ragatha in their short practice. Outline obscured by the lighting, yellow pinwheels fumble locking onto any particular bodypart, crashing harmlessly claws first through the spread cloth. Its trivial to bait the monster into leaping at her and missing, obstacles hazardous and not waiting for the beast beyond the cape. Paper screens, hoops, whatever props Ragatha had managed to salvage from Kaufmos dressing room, remnants of the clowns practical comedy. Its not perfect, and Pomni can only keep it up for a few minutes, luring her seething mirror crashing back into her cage, hastily locked and covered.
Theres an option to keep the act true to its roots (Pomni armed with a dagger taking slashes at blacklight Pomni on the way through the cape) but i think Ragatha would personally feed Pomni to Bubble limb by limb if that happened. Shes probably already going to be beside herself with guilt, even if the mad jester isnt doing anything against her will.
The gore! The emotion! The drama! Ragatha hearing her pet howl inconsolably from the wings as she begins the starlet routine. The wailing is distraught and furious, wordless beyond simple obedience. Does her love think shes dead? Gone? Has the creepy Pomni slipped back into the vents safely? Was it enough, or did she just torment her dear for naught?
Maybe with the load of B.Pomni's wellbeing shared, Ragatha can concentrate on her performance, and step out of the caretaker roll for a few minutes. Or not, and the stress/concern for the little clown causes a catastrophic falling star event?
If any of the blacklight crew have an ounce of pity left for the little beast, they'll hotbox the cage with Purple before Pomni hurts herself trying to get out. Or worse, ruins the starlet show with the noise. The fuss makes for an excellent distraction for the phantom jester to slip away, if Caine lets her get that far.
What would Blacklight Caine think of it? What would the twins score? Would Blacklight Pomni feel betrayed by Ragatha? Would Ragatha feel threatened by Pomni if she scored high enough? What would Pomni buy with those points if shes allowed?
Im picturing B.Caine seeing the act, and setting a condition that he'd alert normal caine only if Pomni got a 10/10. Or maybe its seen as cheating, and both get thrown into the void anyway. Worst ending is definitely Caine releasing a now abstracted B.Pomni into the matador situation again, to rip apart Pomni like Kaufmo, and start the cycle with Ragatha all over again. COULD she do it again? Would our Ragatha show up in time to save the day?

Okay no I WILL say you did an amazing job! I'm so happy you like the AU and asks/comments like these are very dear to my heart (which is why I sometimes take forever to answer)
B!Caine would be quite confused at their being two Jesters but I have no doubt a slick little lie about a glitch would clear things up just fine. I'd say, with a performance like that, they'd earn a beautiful 8.9! 8,959 points. In the meantime, Ragatha would have to figure out what to do with her newly expanded troupe.
A new mouth to feed and care for, whether it likes it or not. To ensure another soul keeps breathing and doesn't slip through her fingers.
