fear of loving a black trans man/ or a man in general
My biggest fear when he told me he was ready to transition was how he is going to be viewed and portrayed by others. Black masculinity is under attack and villainized it has been for a long time. So when he told me he was ready to embrace himself I feared for his life not only because he is a trans man, but also because he is a black trans man. I know I should have feared more but that was my biggest fear.
