“ a trip to a new country ? isn’t it the perfect opportunity to start with a clean slate , confess your sins and just leave them behind you . ” she smiled , although the twitching corners of her lips failed to uphold it , the attempt of control faltering in her eyes . if she was kind, had any shred of mercy left, she’d have done it quickly . a slit of a throat , or hands wrapped around the neck, witnessing the mortality of a king as he would gasp for his last breath . however, she wasn’t kind nor was she cruel , at least not as cruel as the polish king was when he robbed josef of his life . yet, she wanted to see him suffer , confess to his sin and be tormented by the same fear her brother was when he was trying so desperately to hold onto his life . “ although i am not too sure if that is possible for someone like you .” mocking laughter escaped her , blank eyes staring at the king . “ however, i’ve heard that the portuguese dungeons are a little cozier than the swiss one , if that might be some comfort for you , of course . so if i were you , i’d confess now . i can assure you that awaiting your punishment in a tiny portugese dungeon is the most luxurious option out of the other things i’ve thought of doing to you . or your family . ”

i do totally not see daeshik as a murderer. i think it just happened in the heat of the moment. daeshik's father was on medication that made him sleepy during the bus ride and that's why he hit a person with the bus he drove. of course, in his own panic and worry, he called his son who works for the police. what neither of them knew was that nam sangtae, the ceo of the bus company, was looking for police protection and was filming everything at that moment. daeshik, who saw himself and his father threatened, got into a scuffle with nam's men and pushed one of them, who then fell with his head on a curb and died. since both shim’s now had a man on their conscience and nam had blackmail material, daeshik decided to work for nam sangtae and became an informer for him within the police. 

however, i think since it’s pointed out that he did it out of fear. for me that means he never meant for it and even thought of turning himself in but he could not for this father’s sake. even when he  was so afraid of what this could cost him. he lived with this fear for a very long time until it was taken of his chest. he lost trust and a good friend but at least he would no longer feel that guilty for lying. --- he did however, feel guilty for taking a persons life even if it was a pure accident. that’s why he came to love his job even more. able to bring these type of people behind bars and get justice for the people who suffered from these sort of acts.

Some Harold hc:

He's half American, half Japanese. His mother is still living in America while he and his father lives in Japan after the divorce of them. Nothing big happened between his parents. The just fell out of live and both agreed on divorcing and living their own life while keeping their memories of boh of them as a pleasant part in their life.

Harold lived until he was 18 with his parents in America and even had plan to go to a college but nope. In his last year of high school he was dropping out because of several health issues.

His girlfriend he has since he was moving with his father is a lot younger than himself. Not 10 years but 7. However, for the first two years everything went well. They had a normal relationship until she cheat on him with someone else. Again, someone younger than himself. Harold noticed that something was off. His gf didn't talk to him as much as usual and when he wanted to come over than always she hadn't school and he needed to leave early.

AND surprise, Harold wanted to surprise her but who did he found? Her affair. Long story short: Harold and he (or only Harold) were screaming at each other. Questioning even why he needs to go through this. However, Harold and he ended up being all nakey in bed. Harold more or less getting forced while in the end just letting it happen and unfortunately enjoyed it a bit but he was unfortunally less stronger to make the other stop.

Right before they finished his gf moved in the apartment and saw them. Just all laughing and making pictures to blackmail him a bit. Saying everyone that he was sleeping with another guy or just letting her do what she wants with other people aka the open relationship was forced on him while he needs to be the alibi boyfriend when her parents were asking. 

However, Harold couldn’t break up with her. Not only bc of the blackmailing bit also he still loves until the day she would throw him away
