Personally, It was great to see this today. For the world, his platform has grown even more. Since 2008, it's been great listening to great music from him. However, behind it all, and from trusted sources, Kid Cudi has taken the proper steps to focus on his depression. I thank friends of mine for texting me this news this morning. Secondly, thanks to the world and comments for actually respecting this dudes correct decision. A decision many of still pray that others will do, while we help them. Unfortunately, millions of people have struggled to make that right decision and we as the world lose them for many different reasons. Whether Cudi realizes it or not, someone somewhere, gained the strength from reading, especially younger people, who battle depression daily and heavily. As a black man, I applaud him as well. Unfortunately, many of our men find it embarrassing to speak about or afraid to be seen as "less than" for even letting a friend know. Again, whether he knows it or not, he has voluntarily taken the torch and ran in order for black men to address issues such as this. There is light at the end of the tunnel.
