Ms. Pugh is an African-American marathoner AND the current Mayor of Baltimore This marathon was last held in 1989. Years later, the Baltimore Running Festival started in 2001. This event has been held on a Saturday. The NBMA will also be honoring Mayor Pugh for her contributions to the city of Baltimore and the running community this weekend.
