Let’s chat about something I had to google shortly after having Delicious. My supply switched up forever ago and I thought that was the end 😢 BUT we are still nursing occasionally at 17 months. The release is just as essential as the latch when your nipples are sore or they’ve grown teeth. Slip a finger in the corner of your little’s mouth, work it to the front and gently press down on the jaw, release your breast. Breastfeeding 🤱🏾 update: We are still at it. Far less often than we used to do when he was younger of course. Nursing looks a bit different than before. He no longer stays still and prefers to be upright while feeding (pictured). He also prefers to sip rather than to take focused drinks. That can be quite a nuisance to me actually, but it is what it is. At one point he did stop feeding when I had been gone for a few days and returned. I thought bu this tim I would strictly pump and nurse from the breast only when that wasn’t convenient, but oh how plans change based o. Milk supply and experience. I had no idea. There is such controversy around when to stop nursing, but I say it’s a decision made between Mom and baby. It is a a serious commitment!
