Black-necked Stilt with Fish by MyKeyC The positive side of being homebound due to the virus is that I can get some photo organization done and rediscover older shots that I've completely forgotten about. I tend cull first, pick a very few favorites to process and then move on to my next photo shoot. As such, I have a ton of material to keep me busy in my old age. Perfect for these times. This is a Black-necked Stilt, which I think was photographed in the Everglades. It is the only time that I've seen one with prey of this size. It lined up nicely with the shades on the water. Take care everyone. I am not infected but staying inside as much as I can bear to avoid being so. Between four and six million birds nest and feed on the lake every year. The worlds largest populations of #whitefaced #ibis and #Californiagulls make their homes near the lake. A large population of #blacknecked #stilts, #Americanavocets and newborn #pelicans are also found on and near the Great Salt Lake.
