A picture speaks a 1000 words... Question is, do you have the heart to perceive it? This nation has never not one time ever made the path for blacks easy. Every time we cleared the path for ourselves (against all odds) you’ve beaten us down robbed us and reestablished trauma. 400+ years of oppression. #tothisday I’m tired of all the blindness...because truth be told you’re not blind. You see it. You know you do...you merely refuse to acknowledge it because upon doing so, your bubble bursts. I can’t. I can’t be your friend...I can’t be the black notch in your “I’m not racist” quota belt. I’m tired y’all. I’m sick and tired of the bullshit. You know how messed up it is; I’m up here in Mechanicville, NY and it’s clear the position that most people up here hold. But the sad part is that 🇺🇸 is plastered all over the place...this flag has come to instill a strong sense of discomfort for me...it doesn’t mean what I thought it did when I served. It’s come to represent a political lean...do you understand how terrible that is. This is the day we’re in– one where our nations flag means liberty and bliss for some, and oppression and tyranny for others.
