You know, the more time I spend with this boy, the more I’m convinced that God did not entrust him to me for me to teach him, but rather for me to learn. Everyday goes by I learn what patience, love, trust, and joy look like. He reminds me what eternity is like...I’ve forgotten. He’s still fresh. He’s beautiful...he’s my whole heart...I love him so freaking much, I often don’t even know what to do. I don’t always hit the mark as a dad, but he forgives me every time. He’s convinced me that I can be as great as he believes me to be...and even when I let him down, he reminds me that tomorrow is a new day, and to let it go. This kid is wisdom...he’s the sword that nourishes. He’s the formulation of greater communication...he’s my son.
