Blackpool Zoo are excited to announce that they will be opening our gates once again on Monday 12th April 2021. We too are getting excited.... things feel like they're getting back to normal after such a long time.... cant wait to start doing 'things' again!! :-) Wheres the first place in Blackpool you intend to visit when you can again? Release from the Zoo...... Tickets are on sale now and if you are planning to visit, don't forget all visitors must book online to guarantee entry and there are still restrictions in place to keep everyone safe here including: 🦁 We are not allowed to open indoor viewing areas in animal houses or the indoor seating area in the cafe. 🦆 As indoor areas are closed, please check the weather forecast before you visit and come prepared. ☂️☀️❄️ 🦍 We are required to ask every visitor aged 16 and over to scan the NHS QR code using their NHS COVID-19 app or provide their name and contact details. 🐘 We have manned queuing systems at peak times to ensure social distancing can be maintained in popular areas. 🐒 The main gift shop is open with limited numbers. 😷 Face coverings are mandatory* in all indoor areas of the zoo that are open. 6️⃣ The Rule of 6 applies: we welcome groups of up to 6 people or 2 households*. 🐦 Lemur Wood and Rainbow Landings remain closed and all in-person talks, feeds and displays are still suspended to prevent large gatherings. 🐈 Our main outdoor play area is open, but all indoor play areas are closed. 🐧 We still advise all visitors and members to book online to guarantee entry as we are reaching our capacity and selling out, especially over good weather weekends. Last day of our 'a to z of blackpool' naturally bring us to 'Z' and obviously, we've gone for what we'd consider, in our very biased opinion, the best zoo in the country, Blackpool zoo! A relatively new zoo having only opening in 1972, is mega popular with locals snd tourists alike. We rate it so highly it features in our blog 'top 5 things to do in blackpool' https://insiderblackpool.com/blog-2/ The zoo is located outside the town by is beside emglands best park 'stanley park' and also 'Lancashire biggest little village'... the model village. Why not spend a day away from the front to experience them all? Here are the photos from Blackpool where we went to Blackpool Zoo on the Wednesday and saw all the animals my favourite was the tiger of course! 🐅🐯 which also has the Lions 🦁 nearby and as from the photos you can tell how close they came to us (mainly because it was nearly feeding time and that’s where the staff come close to go and feed them) then the next day Thursday we went to Blackpool a Pleasure Beach and went on all the rides all the big ones first my favourite’s was ‘Big One’ and ‘Icon’ and went on the Valhalla last and got a little bit wet (Ashley got soaked) 🎢 Also went to the amusements and played AireHockey against Ashley and we played it 3 times and I won the first 2 he wasn’t very happy about that so started denying we ever played it (photo attached of one of my wins against him) 😂 Overall had a great time at both places and can’t wait to go away again at some point!! 😊❤️ #Blackpool #BlackpoolZoo #BlackpoolPleasureBeach #BlackpoolTower #blackpoolilluminations #blackpoollights #amusements https://www.instagram.com/p/B4FRc03lUKpmEyJ2diuJOsf-j-1JmW0qOCweKE0/?igshid=15ekxsj0126pf
