Yas and Fumi subscribe to Japanese minimalism (or so I thought). So when I saw a knitted replica of themselves, I just had to ask, as you do. Their answer put a smile on my dial for the rest of the day. They were made by Albert @eatlitfood’s mother. Albert has always waxed lyrical about wanting to be adopted by Yas & Fumi as they are so wonderful to him (and all of us). Mummy Cho obviously adore our hosts as well. I had my usual pea and poached chicken toasted back rice sourdough sandwich. Perfection! And I was gifted Coffee Pen’s Christmas fruit cake. Talk about moist! The dried fruits have been soaking in brandy for the past month and topped on the fruit cake, glazed in Hassaku orange jam made by Fumi. It will be just as moist and succulent when I have a slice on Christmas Day.
