Black Sand Publishing is prepping for a very fruitful November with Halloween over and Thanksgiving on deck, fall is officially in full swing. Save the date for one of the most important events Black Sand Publishing will be attending, our very own Heather Brown has donated her piece "Waimea Morning" to the silent auction as well as the poster artwork for the John Kelly Environmental Achievement Awards.
Saturday November 16th is the John Kelly Environmental Achievement Awards, taking place from 6:00PM to 11:00PM at Waimea Valley on the North Shore of O'ahu. This landmark event will feature a dinner, silent auction, and live music, hosted by the Surfrider Foundation.
The John Kelly Awards will be hosted by the Surfrider Foundation, a non-profit grassroots company devoted to the world's natural ocean, waves, and beaches. This company is based in Hawaii where the beauty of the sea is inescapable. Founded in 1948, by a passionate group of surfers in Malibu, California the foundation has evolved into 50,000 plus members and 80 chapters spanning across the globe.
