Favorite RPG series, or, if the answer to that one is too easy, RPG series or game you WANT to get into but have never been able to?

Do you think Golden Sun would be a good game to do a blind stream/LP of? Like I know NOTHING about it besides that the second game is from the POV of the first game's villains or... Something.

It’s a JRPG series, so it’s long. Aside from that I’d say yes.

totally random but you seem like the type of person who might know this, with all your awesome and surprising skills, do you have any recommendations for making fake blood? might try and make a short film and need something that'll look good for practical effects and maaaaaaybe you'll know, maybe you won't, either way it won't hurt to ask!

You know... I actually do...

Take a few drops of red food coloring (gel is best, but anything works, you can even use cherry jello or kool-ade) and add it to 1 cup light corn syrup, once that’s nice and red add about 3 tablespoons of both cocoa powder and corn starch.

That’ll get you a convincing looking bottle of fake blood, and feel free to scale that up as needed and adjust the food coloring and cocoa powder for desired blood color.

Bonus points: This fake blood is edible!

Might be a weird question, but how would I know if I'm polyamorous? I've only been in monogamous relationships and, the way things are going, will probably only be in monogamous relationships, but like... I dunno, I feel like something's off. Any advice?

Okay, I’ll say this.

Polyamory is a constant conversation, it’s being comfortable and accepting of boundaries, it’s being many things for many people.

Some people don’t have the ability to handle that, which is fine, and valid.

This one I kinda have a difficult time explaining because a strict monogamous relationship never made any sense to me? It always felt like “owning the other person” and it felt off.

So, more or less, I just don’t quite “get” monogamy myself?

Which makes explaining “how do you know you’re polyam” difficult for me.

I'm playing RE4, RE7, and RE8 concurrently at the moment, so I'm curious! What are your favorite, least favorite, most overrated, and most underrated Resident Evil games?

Favorites:

1. Resident Evil HD (Remake)

2. Resident Evil 2 (Original)

3. Resident Evil Code Veronica X (HD Port/Original)

4. Resident Evil 7/8

5. Resident Evil 3 (Original)

Least Favorite:

Resident Evil 6... what a complicated mess.

Overrated:

Resident Evil 4, it’s SO good and SO fun, but it’s hyped up to the point that I feel most people who haven’t ever played it would be more or less disappointed after playing it.

Underrated:

Original RE3... JILL VALENTINE’S SOLO GAME IS SO GOOD AND THE ORIGINAL IS WAY BETTER THAN THE REMAKE! Remake is FINE, but the OG is just... better.

Best/worst horror remakes? (i just watched the House On Haunted Hill remake and it was... DEFINITELY a movie! that's all i can really say about it!)

Oof... HOHH remake is uh... surely a film that can be watched... technically.

Other bad ones?

2003’s Chainsaw Massacre remake was also... something.

And 2007’s Halloween was... Urgh.

More recently Pet Sematary just... I mean the original was also not the best but ... urghhhhh...

GOOD ONES?

Evil Dead, The Thing (1982 version was a remake technically), and IT come to mind!

If you're a Silent Hill fan/junkie, I'm curious: What's your favorite game in the series? (mine's 4, the unpopular choice); Least favorite? (Homecoming for me. Fuck everything about that game); Thoughts on the movies? (I REALLY like the first one but 3D is so bad ugh); And what would you like to see if Konami gets their heads out of their asses and makes another one?

Favorite? Probably 3. And I actually really enjoy 4 too!

Least favorite? Downpour. I could barely finish it.

And I enjoy the movies! They were, for a time, probably the most “thematically faithful” video game movies ever... which is both COOL and SAD at the same time.

Honestly? I wouldn’t mind if the series just stayed dead after Homecoming and Downpour and the fallout that happened after what Konami did to Kojima during MGS5 and PT’s development. There’s plenty of new horror IPs that deserve time to shine.
