Today is the last day of summer for us here in the northern hemisphere. I’m mourning it. While I love fall, I live for summer. My gardens are showing signs of the changing season. Leaves are already falling, which seems a bit early to me but probably not. I’m one that is always surprised at the passing of time. Time just escapes me. These two paintings are titled “Summer’s End” There’s a one and a two (l-r). They depict my large black walnut tree that stands beside my greenhouse and orange nasturtiums blooming until the last.
