Begonia 'Corallina de Lucerna'
Slowly getting the hang of this bb. Couldn't get past the two leaf mark for a while. An old leaf would drop for every new leaf.
We're up to four leaves now. Hurrah.

Tradescantia colours getting brighter with the longer spring days. Hurrah.

I also started a new journey recently... growing cannabis! I had two plants fall into my lap within in a week. Small joys during COVID quarantine.
First one... I got a call from a friend saying she was in my area and she dropped her off. We had loosely discussed trading a clone for a plant, but I wasn't ready for her to show up that day. She's a real one and I'll forever be grateful for her generosity. This strain is called Double Chocolate and I'm excited.
A few days later...I'm rustling around in my garden and I hear a voice over the fence next door, "Hey Amanda, want a plant?". This was the damn plant! They're new neighbours and we'd never really spoken about pot before, but I think we were both hip to each other being smokers. So this was a pleasant surprise, especially a few days after receiving my first one. I don't know the exact strain of this second plant as yet.
The universe was determined for me to grow pot this summer.
(I even had a 3rd one offered to me that week..but I didn't want to be greedy haha. I passed it on to someone else)
I was going to grow in pots, but I didn't want to make an extra quarantine run to the store. So I said "fuck it, YOLO" and decided to try growing in one of my new raised beds. I just transferred them over last night.
This will def be a rookie, test-the-waters, learn the ropes kinda year, as I'm starting a little late in the season. I just want to get a handle on the process of outdoor growing. I'm not aiming for a massive harvest, but I'm grateful for the chance to learn through this journey. Now let's see how this goes 🤞🏾
Ya girl is growing pot yall!

Hey yall!
Just making this post in the hopes of finding more black plant folks on Tumblr.
Where all the black houseplant enthusiasts, gardeners, herbalists, farmers, stoners, food growers and anyone into any aspect of plants?
Would love to follow some more and have my feed be filled with black planty excellence. I know there's a bit of a community on IG already, so I figured I would see who's out here on the tumblrverse.
Feel free to DM me and send any pages, or reblog so maybe others can see.
