But do you really need hormones to be a boy? I mean you know you're a boy no matter what, right? Are there trans* people out there who don't take the hormones? I'm sure there are plenty of people who can't take hormones.

Body dysphoria is difficult to explain, but an explainable aspect is just that I want the people who love me to KNOW I’m a boy without questioning it, and I want strangers passing by me to think “that’s a boy”, not “that’s a girl”, and I want to be legally a boy, and I just don’t want there to be any discomfort or question about that.

I just can’t live my life like this. I don’t want anyone to see the body I have now. I’m not really ashamed by it, but I am disgusted that it temparily has to be my body.

Especially in two aspects; acting and relationships. I’ll only ever be turned down from “boy roles” if I look like this, and I don’t think I’d ever be comfortable being intimate with anyone :(

So without career, love, friends and family who really know who I am, or being comfortable with myself… life becomes pretty awful, really. That’s what it’s like right now.

Those neeeverending tests, right??? To be honest, everything I do at the gender theraphist stuff is a “test”, of sorts.

But I AM talking about a particular test; it’s a heart condition test. my mum has a heart condition that causes the heart to grow over time (i think that’s how it works, at least???), which can be dangerous if it goes unchecked. coincidentally, doing hormones can have the same effect sometimes. so these two things together… could mean i won’t get hormones, that it’s too much of a risk. and that means I NEVER get hormones :(
