i’m actually currently in the process of moving two baby sisters to a closed foster home, even though their extended family is requesting to raise them. thing is that they’ve been living at their uncle and aunt’s and their 5 children for 9 months now and it’s been a total shitshow and now a different family member is trying to gain custody… we’ve decided that enough is enough and that they’re driving the baby girls mad and that they need some peace and quiet. it’s the right thing to do, but it doesn’t make it any less gut wrenching and it’s been keeping me up at night for 4 weeks now. it’s kind of mad how people tend to think this is easy for us.

on the other hand i’m ending a foster placement bc they won’t allow the father to have a relationship with his son. yeah the father is a bit weird but not harmful and would die for his children

yet on tv we’re shown as these grey, bitter and soulless women.
