This is Dennis Halifax, the Staffkeeper! He runs the Staff Shop, where you can get your staff! All you have to do is enter the Staff Room and reach out for your staff.

Of course, I’m getting ahead of myself. You’re probably wondering why a staff is so important, yes?

In the world of Forbidden Magic, a magician directs and/or gets their power from their staff. A staff is personalized to every magician. It can only be used by that person and anyone they give permission to. Some magicians prefer to cast with a wand, their hands, or with any sort of object; it all depends on the person. Some people prefer to make their own staff.

Here are some examples of staffs:

Blaire Moonfall’s staff. Looks sort of creepy, don’t you think?

Cagney Carnation’s staff. He holds it together with duct tape.

Charlie Hatfield’s staff. The bird on the end talks.

Demencia’s staff. Looks more like a baseball bat to me.

Joey In’s staff. It has a mysterious crystal that stays in place. (@joeyydrawss​)

Leota Blakeslee’s staff. The crystal ball helps her see the future!

Rain M. Santiago’s staff. She made it herself out of an old branch!
