Welp, since Valve has basically let these guys go to the wayside, I’m using lost media logic to claim “MY CANON NOW” and ramble about my headcanons for these lil guys. Please reblog or comment your own ideas, I crave ideas because I plan on adding these guys into my own L4D3 fic!
Yusuke
Mid/Early 20’s
“The Leader”
Attended college in Shibuya for Law before dropping out.
Burnt out golden child finally having his delinquent arc.
Oldest son, has 2 sisters and a brother.
Took his college fund and has basically been globe-trotting before the Green Flu hit.
Tired of pleasing others but is too kind for his own good.
Camped out in a bowling alley (It’s where he got his jacket from) for 3 days before meeting Sara.
Genuine interest in American Culture and History.
God help you if you mention Power Rangers to him.
Can and will pick random fights.
He’s trying his best ok?
Blake calls him Yuu.
Haruka
18-19
“The Pessimist”
Senior in Kyoto-Uji Private Academy (Highschool).
Was on her Senior Trip to NY when the Green Flu hit.
Had a boyfriend Yoko who got infected, resulting in her killing him.
Student of Sara’s, closest to her.
Can’t speak English well, so either Sara or Yusuke translate when she can’t speak.
Used to be very happy and outgoing, but now she’s mostly cold and indifferent.
SUPER into Magical Girl anime and manga (still has a keychain of her fav magical girl).
Mikasa Ackerman Stan.
Can and will fight dirty to the point Blake is scared of her.
Wanted to run an anime studio.
Blake calls her Haru.
Sara
Late 20’s, Early 30’s
“The Girl”
English Teacher at Kyoto-Uji Highschool (She taught Haruka’s class).
She and 5 other teachers took the whole Senior body to America for a Senior Trip when the Green Flu hit.
Sara managed to get a group of students, but only she and Haruka survived to reach The Vannah.
Picked up Yusuke on the way there.
Has 3 years of teaching, 1st year teaching solo.
Her dad ran a Museum in Kyoto, Mom was a business woman who frequented the US and Japan.
She rocking that dual citizenship baybee
Her degree is actually in History with a minor in Japanese Folklore, taught English cause she was the most fluent in it on staff.
Had 3 cats back in Japan (Wasabi, Ponzu, and Ichiru)
Blake
Mid-Late 30’s
“The Optimist”
Army brat turned Navy Petty Officer (his family constantly gave him shit for it)
This man is from Texas and you cannot tell me otherwise.
Stationed in Yokosuka for over a decade before getting discharged.
Spent more time in Japan than in the US.
Didn’t finish Highschool, got his GED after he retired.
Was doing Night Classes for a hospitality degree while working at The Vannah.
Knows a lot about animals (Wanted to be a Vet before becoming a bartender).
Had a puppy named Lucky when the outbreak hit.
Was the last one to join the gang.
None of the group knew he could speak Japanese until like two weeks after they met when he got pissed enough he switched to Japanese.

For those unaware, these 4 are the playable survivors from the Taito arcade port of Left 4 Dead. The reason for the new characters is to appeal more the the Japanese market, mainly with the exception of Ellis (who is 23) and Zoey (who's presumably 19) all the other character's are to old, so they were replaced with younger, more anime looking character's (as well as tone down the violence)
