Listen to the tone of voice she uses when she says your name. 

“Miles.” (slightly exasperated tone) Probably frustrated from something else. Proceed as normal. 

“Miles.” (A little louder and calling you out.) Be cautious, but proceed as normal. 

“Wow, Miles.” (Definitely exasperated.) Apologize and smile, but don’t even look the least bit sorry.

“Miles!” (She said it like she says Adam, definitely annoyed.) Apologize and give chocolate, also shower with kisses. 

“Miles Edgeworth!” (Angrily) You done fucked it up. Give her chocolate and space.
