it was drawing towards the end of his shift; one that had felt particularly long seeing as he was running on a few hours sleep and so had opted not to help himself to some rum to make the hours pass faster. it was NEVER as fun being at a bar sober as it was when he’d knocked a few drinks back. he had his back turned to the bar as he busied himself polishing pint glasses, just hoping for the minutes to pass quickly so he could get home, undress and order himself a pizza.
