There is a slight misconception I've seen in the cosmere fandom that I want to clear up. A popular joke is that "oh haha, in Azir you need to fill out forms to be gay and transgender" and what people don't understand is that it's not two forms. It's one. There is not special form to be gay, one person in a gay couple has to legally change their gender in order for them to be a couple. It's actually based on some medieval Indian societies and is a very neat worldbuilding concept, but a shit place to live in.
