So I'm really interested in getting into NYU! That's my dream school! I was wondering if you had any tips for a high school senior like me on getting into the school. What was the main GPA of some of your friends at NYU and how many got scholarships? I love that you go to NYU and can give me a students view of my dream school! Gahhhhhh Im so glad I found you :)
The only real tips I can give are the ones I've mentioned before, but they're pretty standard. You're going to want to do the best that you can, all throughout high school, don't just give up during your Senior year as colleges do see that on your final transcript (it usually won't hurt you but you've probably heard the 'colleges CAN revoke your admission' speech). If you haven't already, try to get involved in some extracurriculars or do some volunteering, things like those always look good on an application.
Because most of my friends' high schools have wildly different ways of measuring GPAs, I don't really have an exact number for GPAs. Mine was roughly a 3.6 out of 4.0, and my other friend had a 94 (I think) which is (again, I think) out of 100. From what I've read, you're going to want to aim for above a 3.5 (out of 4.0). I think all of my friends got some sort of scholarship, how much I'm not sure, but we all got at least a little something.
:)! I'm happy that I can try to help!
