Never a dull moment, and I don't think we'd have it any other way. "Impuritize" came out a little over a week ago, and on Saturday we celebrated its release with a hometown show that was packed with friends who have been around forever as well as many new faces. While we were enjoying being in the moment, we couldn't help but look back on this process. The showcase, negotiations, signing, writing, recording, touring, and everything leading up to the release... every single part of it has been a challenge. But I know these guys have a pretty good understanding that it's actually supposed to be a challenge. None of this comes easy, not even the easy stuff. I feel like everything from the process was channeled into this record. And I think that shows in the response to the record. That positive response is, ultimately, all we could have really asked for. At the end of the night, Daniel and I hugged and all we said was "We did it, we f*cking did it." Not that this is an end result, but it's a milestone we always wanted to reach along the way. I've never known a group of people so driven and motivated to constantly get better at what they do. If you know them at all, you know this is true. Daniel, Alex, Roman, and Steve... you are the best at what you do, and you're even better people. I can't wait to see where this path takes you.
