(...and of them possibly none who give a shit about my stories but hey...)
I have last updated anything last year and it’s already August. I constantly remind myself that I have fics to finish but then I don’t. This is no excuse or anything. I can’t even promise I will post something, this year or the next but maybe...maybe in 2020 when no one is here anymore I will manage to at least post the proper ending for my epic blam tale, a.k.a. Secret admirer series. I own it to myself and to Blam.
Until then... just keep watching Netflix and all other shows.
right. great. i was ready for some serious research and work for an essay and when I opened my browser tumblr was still on and showed me this overcriss pic. now I can’t work anymore, i have feels and need to deal with them. thank you so much tumblr

proof that blam not only was friends before their election campaign but also already a great team (Britney 2.0)
We all know this scene from 04x02
and indeed the body language is clear: at times they sit really close to each other, crossing the border of personal space (and clearly both leaning in to it) which indicates a comfortable level of intimacy
And then look in that, same episode
When Brittany had her break down on stage they both at the same time ran to close the curtains - we don’t know whether they both thought about it at the same time or have communicated about it. But what we see in the end is that they use the same gesture at the same - which either is an expression of being in synch or indicates mirroring, both signs of sympathy. BLAM!
❝you got me a gift?❞ / ❝i’d rather spend christmas with you.❞ / ❝don’t you dare get me anything.❞
“you got me a gift?”
“I mean, it’s Christmas, so… it’s not like I just bought you something outta nowhere and it’s weird, right?” Sam rubbed the back of his neck and slowly stepped backward, easing his way down the front steps. Blaine lingered in the doorway, still staring at the poorly wrapped gift that Sam had shoved into his hands moments earlier. “Can you open it later? Like, when I’m gone?”
Whatever bravery inspired Sam to show up with the present in the first place disappeared once he could actually see his best friend. With his confidence shaken, he figured it would be less humiliating if he wasn’t there to see the look on Blaine’s face when the way he felt wasn’t contained by a box decorated with ribbon and a bow.
“You can call me or text me or whatever when you do,” he added quickly, resisting the urge to rush forward and wrap his arms around Blaine in a tight hug. Or possibly say fuck it to being subtle and pull him into a kiss that lasted until the clock struck twelve on New Year’s Eve.
He didn’t have the guts though.
He decided to wait and see what Blaine had to say about the present. It was a box filled with little treasures from their friendship. Movie tickets, concert stubs, birthday cards and bottle caps. Things that Blaine wouldn’t be surprised to find, right alongside a few that he probably wouldn’t expect. There were simple sketches of Blaine - his smile, his hands, his eyes. Sappy lyrics scribbled on pages clearly ripped from Sam’s notebook, filled with references that made it pretty damn obvious they weren’t about any girl he’d dated.
God, what if this totally backfired?
Sam was halfway down the sidewalk when he managed to speak again. “Maybe if you hurry I won’t be too far and I can come back.”
“i’d rather spend christmas with you.”
“Are you sure?” Sam held his breath but Blaine nodded right away, cheeks rosy and snow settling on the shoulders of his coat. “That’s… crazy? You know that’s crazy, don’t you?” He knew Blaine well enough to understand the silence that followed his question meant that he shouldn’t expect a real response.
He was okay with that. Part of being so close to someone is not always needing to hear them ramble on minutes at a time to get what they’re feeling. He knew that Blaine’s engagement wasn’t quite the whirlwind of romance he’d dreamt about when he tossed around ideas for the proposal. Still it seemed like asking for trouble to stay in New York with Sam instead of pack up to spend the holidays with his fiancé in Paris.
Especially if you knew that they’d kissed the night before, heated and desperate but too scared to do more than that when their lips finally parted.
“Look, I want you here… with me. More than anything. I just.. I don’t know.” He stared down at his feet and tried to tell himself it was important to do the right thing. “Maybe you need to go see him and talk to him. About you and him and… us, if that’s something you want.”
As if Christmas was the ideal time to possibly break-up with someone.
“Just promise me you’re not staying here ‘cause it’s easier, okay?”
“don’t you dare get me anything.”
“DON’T TELL ME WHAT I CAN’T DO!” Sam yelled back in his best John Locke impression, rolling freshly fallen snow into balls he fully intended to hurl across the backyard.
For the record, it was Blaine who decided this was somehow the appropriate moment to discuss Christmas presents. Like Sam didn’t have better things to worry about while crouched behind the fort he spent all afternoon building, determined to restore his honor after brutally losing at Mortal Kombat that morning.
“IT’S HONESTLY NOT NECESSARY! WE’VE ONLY BEEN DATING A WEEK!”
“WE’VE ONLY BEEN BASICALLY DUDE-DATING FOR YEARS?” Sam screamed, popping his head up and then ducking once he saw a snowball flying in his direction. “CAN YOU CHILL OUT FOR FIVE SECONDS SO WE CAN TALK ABOUT THIS?”
“IT DEPENDS,” Blaine hollered, cautiously standing with his hands above his head. “ARE WE CALLING A TRUCE? OR IS THIS ONE OF YOUR TRICKS?”
Sam rolled his eyes and glanced down at the snow packed into the palm of his hand. Reluctantly, he let it fall to the ground. As much as he wanted to annoy his boyfriend, it felt like a better plan to figure out if he really did need to return all the gifts he started hoarding underneath his bed months ago.
Actually he’d rather shit be awkward if it came down to it.
oh this is bad. i just realised - i don't want anything for me, i mean, love and all. i just want blam. angst and fluff and feels all day every day Long. is this bad? is it? you can be honest. Life's too fluffy so I Need more angst.... and then more fluff because IT'S BLAM
“you belong to me.” / “is there someone else?” / "i can’t stop picturing you with him/her."
“You belong to me.”
“That’s… wow, um, you need to get some sleep, dude,” Sam whispered, shifting toward the edge of the bed only to feel Blaine move along with him, arm still slung across his waist. He sighed and tugged the blanket up to his best friend’s shoulders, if only to put off figuring out what to do with his hand when they were suddenly so close.
He settled for scratching the nape of Blaine’s neck, fingers lightly tugging at loose curls. His breathing slowed the longer he felt Blaine’s breath against his chest. slowly lulling him toward sleep after he’d been tossing and turning all night, worried that Blaine seeing Kurt again years after they’d broken up would bring them back together.
What if the power of lost love somehow cancelled out how they seemed on the verge of something huge lately? Often the first person you fall for owns a big piece of your heart forever, no matter how messy the break-up. Sam wasn’t sure if he could complete with that.
He hadn’t expected for a tipsy Blaine to stumble through the door of their apartment alone, hauling Sam off the couch to drag him back to bed. Nothing crazy happened once they’d settled under the covers, other than Blaine clinging onto him like he had no intention of letting go. Ever.
It didn’t take long for him to pass out. Sam quickly kissed the top of his head before settling back onto his pillows. “I’m yours,” he murmured, hand drifting down along Blaine’s spine, winding his arm around him to pull him in closer. “Just don’t forget tomorrow.”
“Is there someone else?”
“ARE YOU HEARING YOURSELF RIGHT NOW?” Sam rushed forward, initially wanting to close the gap between him and Blaine, to shove him like they were still a couple of teenage boys, but he stepped back within seconds, knowing he needed to keep his temper in check. “I would never do anything to hurt you. Never. I’m not a cheater.”
It happened instantly. Blaine’s face crumpled as he shrank back, and Sam could feel the weight of his words crashing down on them. He’d unintentionally ripped the bandages off an old wound that he’d long ago realized would never heal. “You know I didn’t mean it like that,” he mumbled, shaking his head and avoiding Blaine’s eyes. The last thing he needed was confirmation he made the poor guy cry. “I just mean I love you too much to even think about someone else.”
Sam could understand his boyfriend’s insecurities playing tricks on his mind occasionally, but he never wanted their change in relationship status to suddenly mess with how much they trusted each other. “Please don’t be upset just ‘cause I forgot to tell you I’d be super late,” he added when Blaine still remained quiet, leaning up against the wall of their bedroom with his hands covering his face.
“There’s nobody else on the planet I want. You gotta know that.”
“I can’t stop picturing you with her.”
“I really wish you wouldn’t do that,” Sam sighed, glancing over at Blaine sitting up in bed beside him. It killed him that the one person who ever truly believed in him, who loved him so unconditionally, could still somehow doubt what he wanted. “I mean, I get it. I totally do. It’s not like I’ve never… I’ve thought about if you’d, like, compare me to him and stuff but, like, you’re here and you’re with me so, you know…”
For as long as Sam could remember, he thought of Blaine and Rachel as an unbreakable duo. He never expected when they’d all met he would fall in love with them both at different points in his life. In fact, Rachel ended up being the first person he told about his feelings for Blaine. Like, on a Friday afternoon when he stopped by her place to pick up their daughter for the weekend.
“I’m sorry you’re stuck thinking about me with her like that, but can you imagine being us without a little munchkin running around the place?” He scooted in closer and leaned in to press a kiss to Blaine’s bare shoulder. “Not that I want you to think about our kid instead when I’m trying to mack on you…”
He wrinkled his nose and reached for Blaine’s hand, lacing their fingers together. “Look, stuff’s awkward sometimes but you’re, like, the only person who’s ever been upgraded from uncle to dad 2 without shit being scandalous so c’mon, that’s gotta get you some awesome points, right?”
