“you belong to me.” / “is there someone else?” / "i can’t stop picturing you with him/her."

“You belong to me.”

“That’s… wow, um, you need to get some sleep, dude,” Sam whispered, shifting toward the edge of the bed only to feel Blaine move along with him, arm still slung across his waist. He sighed and tugged the blanket up to his best friend’s shoulders, if only to put off figuring out what to do with his hand when they were suddenly so close.

He settled for scratching the nape of Blaine’s neck, fingers lightly tugging at loose curls. His breathing slowed the longer he felt Blaine’s breath against his chest. slowly lulling him toward sleep after he’d been tossing and turning all night, worried that Blaine seeing Kurt again years after they’d broken up would bring them back together.

What if the power of lost love somehow cancelled out how they seemed on the verge of something huge lately?  Often the first person you fall for owns a big piece of your heart forever, no matter how messy the break-up. Sam wasn’t sure if he could complete with that.

He hadn’t expected for a tipsy Blaine to stumble through the door of their apartment alone, hauling Sam off the couch to drag him back to bed. Nothing crazy happened once they’d settled under the covers, other than Blaine clinging onto him like he had no intention of letting go. Ever.

It didn’t take long for him to pass out. Sam quickly kissed the top of his head before settling back onto his pillows. “I’m yours,” he murmured, hand drifting down along Blaine’s spine, winding his arm around him to pull him in closer. “Just don’t forget tomorrow.”

“Is there someone else?”

“ARE YOU HEARING YOURSELF RIGHT NOW?” Sam rushed forward, initially wanting to close the gap between him and Blaine, to shove him like they were still a couple of teenage boys, but he stepped back within seconds, knowing he needed to keep his temper in check. “I would never do anything to hurt you. Never. I’m not a cheater.”

It happened instantly. Blaine’s face crumpled as he shrank back, and Sam could feel the weight of his words crashing down on them. He’d unintentionally ripped the bandages off an old wound that he’d long ago realized would never heal. “You know I didn’t mean it like that,” he mumbled, shaking his head and avoiding Blaine’s eyes. The last thing he needed was confirmation he made the poor guy cry. “I just mean I love you too much to even think about someone else.”

Sam could understand his boyfriend’s insecurities playing tricks on his mind occasionally, but he never wanted their change in relationship status to suddenly mess with how much they trusted each other. “Please don’t be upset just ‘cause I forgot to tell you I’d be super late,” he added when Blaine still remained quiet, leaning up against the wall of their bedroom with his hands covering his face.

“There’s nobody else on the planet I want. You gotta know that.”

“I can’t stop picturing you with her.”

“I really wish you wouldn’t do that,” Sam sighed, glancing over at Blaine sitting up in bed beside him. It killed him that the one person who ever truly believed in him, who loved him so unconditionally, could still somehow doubt what he wanted. “I mean, I get it. I totally do. It’s not like I’ve never… I’ve thought about if you’d, like, compare me to him and stuff but, like, you’re here and you’re with me so, you know…”

For as long as Sam could remember, he thought of Blaine and Rachel as an unbreakable duo. He never expected when they’d all met he would fall in love with them both at different points in his life. In fact, Rachel ended up being the first person he told about his feelings for Blaine. Like, on a Friday afternoon when he stopped by her place to pick up their daughter for the weekend.

“I’m sorry you’re stuck thinking about me with her like that, but can you imagine being us without a little munchkin running around the place?” He scooted in closer and leaned in to press a kiss to Blaine’s bare shoulder. “Not that I want you to think about our kid instead when I’m trying to mack on you…”

He wrinkled his nose and reached for Blaine’s hand, lacing their fingers together. “Look, stuff’s awkward sometimes but you’re, like, the only person who’s ever been upgraded from uncle to dad 2 without shit being scandalous so c’mon, that’s gotta get you some awesome points, right?”

i think with their reactions it's just that they're only fourteen years old and likely had never really been educated much on the issue

true. i’m not saying it changed how i see the characters. i’m just saying i didn’t like it. but they’ve both behaved in ways i didn’t like but they are like fetuses. lol.

Best: It’s honestly a tie between my bae Lapi and our wonderful Blaine/Kurt friendship we had at roomies and the wonderful maewhitmn and our Anderose friendships. Both of them take the good and bad parts about Blaine from the show and don’t deny that he’s not perfect and then make something wonderful with him. I honestly don’t know how they write so well, I’m dumbfounded by them. Special mention should be made of the friendship between the Anderose in the Love Actually rp. They both had such big romantic baggage and always helped each other. I still adore the para we first wrote together with those two. And when it comes to Lapi: Cold. Bitches. Always.

Worst: It’s a tossup between the first time I played Marley in a group and the first time I played Kurt in a group lol. That first RP as Kurt has some of my worst memories so I try not to think about it too much, but the Blaine was the first really awful thing. She kept telling me how much she shipped our characters despite the fact I told her I was not a k/laine shipper and she was there for a blam endgame. Fun fact: played with her briefly this past summer where she played another character and I started getting anon asks about why my Kurt wasn’t with Blaine. Yeah. Then he first Marley group, the Blaine was just not a good writer and didn’t seem to understand how RPs worked and just whined all the time about Kurt. The Kurt was also really bad, too. Thankfully that RP only lasted for like a second.

I just want to say that while I am not silent about my dislike of the canon version of him, I have no problems RPing with most Blaines. It’s the same with any character on the show, really.

SEND ME A FACE CLAIM AND I’LL TELL YOU MY BEST AND WORST EXPERIENCE WITH THEM.

yells at the other for leaving wet towels on the bed blaine goes on and on and on about how fancy schmancy their sheets are so sam knows better than to do this, okay.

whines when the other forgets what they wanted after going grocery shopping blaine “forgets” to buy yoohoo any time he goes without sam and it turns into an all out war about what’s the point of the stupid grocery list if SOMEBODY is just gonna buy whatever he wants.

leaves five half drank bottles of water in their room sam does this ‘cause he only wants to drink it while it’s super cold and then he’s done. eventually he ends up dumping it out into the dog bowls but blaine hates this for some reason he doesn’t really understand but also doesn’t care enough to listen.

initiates a quickie while at somewhere they shouldn’t they’re pretty even when it comes to sexual shenanigans but sam’s more likely to initiate when it could be considered scandalous on some level.

surprises the other with their favorite fast food for dinner they like cooking dinner together but if sam’s writing or drawing late then blaine likes to pop into his office with bags of stuff so they can picnic on the floor.

is massively hungover after celebrating their anniversary here’s the thing: their first kiss happened while drunk and their first ever HUUUUGE fight happened because of the next morning so they try to avoid booze tbh.

argues for double stuffed Oreos over regular sam would laugh at this question and remind you that MEGA STUF should be an option.

buys $200 worth of baby things after finding out they’re expecting they would go out together right away and buy so much stuff! there would be a lot of yelling and grabbing and hugging and crying omg

insists that they each get their own popcorn at the cinema they’ve actually mastered the art of sharing down to only drinking from one ICEE tyvm
