I'm honestly really glad Paultin called Diath out like that. I get that it was probably because Diath didn't know how to ask for a favor or whatever but like.... I'm happy Paultin didn't just let him be Like That to him. He did nothing wrong and he did not at all ask Diath to take the blame for a crime he didn't commit. It was pretty clear that he didn't want his friend, who is terrified of cages, get locked up when he didnt have to. If that doesn't show he cares for diath idk what would.
Diath is a little screwed in the head rn so I’m not expecting him to pick up on that yet but yes, Paultin, continue to stand up for yourself and show the rest of them how it’s done, bc you’re right, you are surrounded by bleeding hearts who are incapable of not throwing themselves in the line of fire for others and valuing themselves. The girls are getting better at it, at least, but Diath...Diath is about to snap in half from all the pressure he’s putting on himself, I am legitimately worried about him and how what he’s doing is not only going to destroy himself, but all the friendships he’s worked so hard to make and maintain.
And trying to make Paultin pay him back for something he didn’t even ask Diath to do in the first place...not cool, dude. Not cool.
(Paultin actually trying to be accountable though, hot DANG that’s good stuff yes mmhm good stuff)
Side note: did Diath lie to his friends about who bailed him out, or did he genuinely not comprehend what was happening bc he was in Panic Mode? It Is A Mystery.
