Amelia Bullmore in The Buccaneers (s2) as Blanche, the Dowager Duchess of Tintagel
It's so sad that Blanche describes Theo as only being truly happy when he's all alone near his beach and art studio, when we know that he wasn't even truly happy back then. Thank god he's found real happiness with Lizzy, and can share those places with her.

I find it very endearing that Theo asked Blanche and Patti to dance before he even asked Nan at these parties. We love a man who respects mothers! Him doing this with Lavinia Elmsworth when???

Theo hated going to all these fancy occasions in season 1, largely because he felt that people only liked him for his title, and now he's willingly signing up for parties and gatherings he doesn't even have to attend, just so he can see Lizzy again.

I LOVE how 2x04 tackled the various fantasies our characters have. Theo has finally broken free of his unhealthy one. Blanche is too scared to give into the dream, because what if it doesn't live up to reality? And Guynan got their dream, but too short.
The parallels and contrasts continue! Blanche doesn't want to give into the fantasy because the reality may take a dream that has sustained her from her. While Guy got to live his dream and now has his heart shattered because he can't keep it.

Being too much like his father really is Guy's biggest character flaw. He ends up being his own worst enemy at times because of it. But I love how much he's already grown in this regard!

I love how Blanche's storyline with Reede has given so much more weight and meaning to her words and actions in S1. Of course she doesn't want her own sacrifice to have been for nothing.
