Experiment 612 - Blandzilla - Designed to suck the charisma and creativity out of leaders. 612 is activated as a small lizard-like creature, but with every ounce of interesting-ness he slurps out off someone, he gets bigger. Once large enough, 612 goes on one of Jumba’s patented rampages, and the idea is that no unique leaders will be left at that point to stop him. Stitch discovered that the effects of 612 can be reversed if the victim gets close enough to touch 612’s snout. His One True Place is at the Kokaua Town Fair with his cousin Shortstuff, a living slide for little kids.
6/12, Blandzilla
Bland child who needs more love 🦖🦖🦖
Headcanon: In-universe BLONDzilla was what the carnival put on the sign advertising him as a ride because somebody made a typo and nobody noticed until a tourist asked "how is that blonde?".
Doverstar
I am about to blow your mind. If you watch the Leroy and Stitch end credits up close in HD, you can see that Blandzilla is actually named BLONDzilla.
Doverstar
That's true! Our minds aren't blown; we knew that, but it is crazy how so many have it so wrong! Yeah, the general community has dubbed that Experiment "Blandzilla", because I suppose everyone thought it was an A, so we're going with that because Blondzilla...sounds...stupid. :D What does he do, make everyone blond? What if people like that? Where's the evil? Blandzilla works better anyway. So we'll stick with that.
How can Blandzilla be used as a slide with those spikes going down his back and tail? Are they retractable?
ArtistIssues
No, they ARE the slide! Blandzilla’s actual skin isn't ever slid on. When you get to his shoulder (below the neck spines) there’s a set of mats which Jumba designed to magnetize back to Blandzilla’s general spine area, so they can’t technically fall off the slide, and the ”spikes” as you call them are rounded, and their surface area almost touches from one spike to another. It’s a bumpy ride, but a fun one. And about as relatively safe as you could expect any fair ride to be!
Do people know that shortstuff and blandzilla are alive or do they think they’re advanced animatronics?
ArtistIssues
Most think Shortstuff is an animatronic, thanks to the deliberate ways he moves. Blandzilla is much less careful. Local kid legend is that the Dinosaur Slide is one of the Kokaua Prehistoric Zoo inmates who ran off to join the fair and never left. But honestly the Kokaua Town adults basically react to the idea of giant crabs and lizards the same way they do living traffic lights and snowcone vendors made of ice: “Hang loose and roll with it!”
