i'm sure you get a ton of asks in your inbox like this but i just wanted to tell you how much i adore blane <33 they're a character very dear to me as a fellow asexual and seeing the positive reception they've received has helped me feel so much better about my own asexuality as well. they're such a beautifully written character (the kiss scene has me giggling and kicking my feet) and i can tell how much love and hard work you've but into them!!

Thank you! This ask was actually sent a few days before the discussion today, but I really love getting messages like this because it reminds me of how important it is for me to stand my ground when it comes to Blane and K's sexualities.

I'm so glad that Blane could help you feel more comfortable in your skin. Exposure to asexuality is extremely necessary in our modern society for this reason specifically, so I'm honoured that a character I created could help <3

as a one-sided rivals blanemancer, i've been trying to play the rivals route but it's so hard 😭 not by any fault of yours i just can't bring myself to be mean to them and then i end up not getting enough rude points to get the rivals route... i've replayed like four times and every time i'm not mean enough it makes me giggle a little

Haha I get that it can be hard for some people to be mean, but hey! Blane deserves to be rude to a little bit. They’re not exactly nice to the Hunter.

They actually prefer when the Hunter is rude… it makes them feel less guilty.

It might sound like a stupid question, but how can I get Rival Blane? :(( Ive tried multiple play through, but still can’t get it. Is it the friendship route with Blane? (i love Blane so much, I absolutely love the way you write Blane)

Off the top of my head, there are about 28-30 “rude points” that you can collect with Blane. To get the rivals route, you need about 13. These stats are hidden so there’s no way of physically tracking them, but the choices tend to be quite obvious—you have to argue with Blane every chance you get.

If it’s still not triggering, the save you’re playing on has probably locked down the normal route already so you need to reset it by restarting <3

am i hearing this right 😭😭 im so confused is the rivals route for blane romantic? because im seeing that apparently mc and them kiss on both routes? what are the list of blane routes 😭

Blane has a “normal” and “rival” route, both allowing a kiss if the player chooses.

Down the line, the normal route focuses on Blane trying to open up to the Hunter (while occasionally pushing them away), whereas the rival route focuses on denying the connection between them and the Hunter, causing more angst.

Wait we can kiss blane in six different ways?? Why do i only know four of them?!! 😭

It’s actually closer to 12 LOL. There are 6 choices that allow you to kiss them/be kissed on the normal route and 6 on the rival route.

I can make a more in-depth tutorial down the line for all the mini branches found in this chapter for all the ROs if people are interested.
