Random question: The tree theme seems to be still an integral part of this show's mythology seeing as it is still in the opening credits and now Pandora is growing a tree. Do you have any theories Mia on whether the trees are mainly just a symbolic tool or going to be actually important in the whole apocalypse?

Oh I think you’ll want @creepingmuse for this one, she’s really great with mythology and symbolism and I’m not really well-versed in that at all. All I do know is that trees have always been significant on the show - Abbie and Jenny seeing the white trees in the forest, Katrina and Henry both using roots, it’s even in the promotional material - so they use it pretty liberally and I’m guessing part of that is just that it’s good branding/design, something to connect to the show to tie it together and make it easily identifiable. 

But as far as mythology goes I think it’s very common there too (esp in creation myths, idk about apocalypse), but for specifics I’d hit up Muse. :)

About changing the direction of the show - Is there a way to use twitter with a tag and making sure that at least the actors see it and relay the message? And some writers must be on twitter too right? I feel like we need to say something because TPTB seriously seem to think that this is what the audience wants.

I guess we can do something about that but to be honest, I don’t know if it will make the difference or not.  But I know what you mean though, I don’t mind the track if it’s like say a week long but if they drag it for like a month, then as an audience I would not watch that :/

I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure there is historical evidence showing that Christianity entered India long before colonialism. If I remember correctly it was brought from the Middle East and people from the higher and lower castes converted due to the equality (no caste) it offered. Of course there is also a history of colonialism, but there are many Christians dating from before the time of European colonization. I read this some time ago and cannot remember from where. Others know???

Maybe it's our definition of dark. The sad thing is that the industry sees her as dark which tells you how hard it is for really dark women to even have a voice in Indian films. Anyway, more importantly dark women are so incredibly beautiful and strong!

Rani is dark. I was always surprised how she prospered in the industry (like Kajol) until I learned of her family connections. I'll always remember Mujhse Dosti Karoge where she was supposed to be the plain one. Even as a child I knew it was because she was darker than Kareena.

I really don’t see it honestly.
