I came across Christopher's photography and mosaic work via Instagram. The colors of his art (both photography & mosaics) are vibrant and make me feel reminiscent of being in my mother's land.
Some of my favorite pieces are his coffee tables, hibiscus and hummingbirds.

I started doing my mosaic work in 2012. I was searching for something to decorate my yard with and came across mosaic art. I was lucky at that point to come across a mosaic course being offered by the Ministry of Community Development . I started off doing simple designs progressing to more complicated ones as I developed my own technique in break and shaping the tiles. At first I wasn't sure if anyone would like my work or even want to buy it, but at the end of the course a fellow classmate wanted to buy a table top I designed, that boosted my confidence.
My basic tools are a tweezer, tile nipper, hammer, pencil, and a knife. I work with either glass or ceramic tiles, depending on the piece i'm working on. I use glass tiles on smaller projects like humming birds or flowers because of its hue. The ceramic tiles are used on larger projects such as table tops. Each type of tile has different properties which restricts me from putting them together, for this reason I could never use glass and ceramic tiles on the same piece.
I try not to replicate the same piece twice so my work would be unique and one of a kind. Each day I am still learning and finding new ways of perfecting this art. Having to crack and shape the various tiles can be very painful to my arms at times. I love and take pride in what I do and look forward to where my mosaic work will take me.

Although Christopher didn't include his personal thoughts on his photography, this multi-talented man has amazing shots that can be seen on his flickr site, like this piece:
